At a glance.
From PHP to my current workflow with AI. These broad stages overlap; they show how my tools and way of building have changed, rather than a complete job history.
- PHP and Slim
Starting with server-side development
I started with PHP and the Slim framework, before moving toward frontend work.
- AngularJS and frontend
Moving into browser interfaces
I moved into AngularJS and frontend development. My web and mobile work at Gadgeon Europe included interfaces that combined several APIs for energy monitoring and connected-device control.
- Angular, React and Express
Working across interfaces and APIs
Angular, React and Express became part of my toolset. That work includes Angular and TypeScript at Knowify; the image-analysis prototype here is a separate example of React and Express in use.
- Full-stack development
Connecting the interface, service and data
I expanded into full-stack work, connecting interfaces, APIs and databases and taking projects through deployment and support. The migration and enquiry-delivery projects show parts of that work.
- LLMs and AI-assisted coding
Models became part of development
By my recollection, I was experimenting with the OpenAI API and Playground roughly two years before ChatGPT. LLMs and AI-assisted coding then became central to how I experiment and build, including questions about how a model discovers requirements.
- My current workflow
AI writes the code. I review what it produces.
Now, I have AI write the code and review the output. I set the direction, inspect the changes and stay responsible for deciding whether the result is right. The tools have changed quickly, and I have adapted how I work with them.
Alongside this engineering path, my background is in business and finance. I also volunteered to lead practical informatics classes at university.
